Two ways to do it, and both remove everything. No retention offers, no five-step cancellation maze.
deleting is permanent
Vybe is made by Kai Technologies LLC. Deleting your account removes your profile and everything you have written, posted or saved. It cannot be undone, and there is no way for us to bring an account back afterwards.
From inside the app
- Open Vybe and go to your Profile tab.
- Tap the settings icon in the top corner.
- Open Account & data.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account and content are removed from our live systems straight away, and you are signed out on every device.
By email
If you have already removed the app, or you would rather not open it, email us from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. Include your username so we can find you.
We confirm it is really you before deleting anything, then complete the deletion and write back to confirm. We aim to do this within a few days and always within 30 days.

Deleted with your account
- Your profile, username and email address
- Your check-ins, vybes and anything our software inferred from them
- Journal entries and notes
- Posts, moments, boards and glimpses, including photos, videos and voice notes
- Comments, reactions and direct messages you sent
- Your vybelinks, friends and shelf
- Your saved consent choices and notification settings
Timing, and the few things we keep
- Live systems: removed immediately
- Encrypted backups: expire automatically within 30 days
- Your anonymous yaps and your reactions go with everything else
- Your direct message threads are removed for both people in the conversation
- Kept: nothing tied to you. Anonymous, aggregate counts that identify no one may remain, and we may retain what a law or a court order specifically requires
Nothing is ever sold, used for advertising, or given to outside services.
You can also withdraw your consent for emotional data at any time in Settings without deleting your account.
